The Lord Jesus Christ before he ascended into Heaven gave us explicit instructions to take his good news everywhere we can. Like many churches, we have a three-pronged framework for missions and outreach. You can see a list of some our partnerships and projects below.
- Local
- ARTEX Baptist Association– local association of Southern Baptist churches that cooperate in church planting, community outreach, and missions efforts. 3% of our undesignated receipts go to support ARTEX.
- Pathway Resource Center– pregnancy resource for families in need and/or crisis as well as educational resources for at-risk youth.
- Mission Texarkana– resource center for the homeless and poor in our community that offers free breakfast and lunch, job training, financial resources, and physical needs.
- Door-to-door Outreach- Shiloh has set a goal of making a personal visit to every home within a 5-mile radius of our building within 5 years. When completed, we will have made personal contact with nearly 7,500 people comprising nearly 3,000 households.
- Regional
- Arkansas Baptist State Convention (ABSC)– the state convention of Southern Baptists that provides a resources for cooperating churches to participate in church planting and revitalization, community outreach, and missions efforts.
- The Southern Baptist Convention (SBC)– SBC is the national convention of Southern Baptists. The SBC has its hands in North American Missions, International Missions, church education and discipleship materials and resources, financial resources for churches, theological education through seminaries, and other efforts. 5.5% of our undesignated receipts go to the cooperative program which is divided between the SBC and the ABSC.
- The North American Mission Board (NAMB)– NAMB is a missions organization of the Southern Baptist Convention that focuses on North American Missions. This includes things like church planting, military chaplaincy, and Send Relief which is one of the largest disaster relief organizations in the United States.
- International
- The International Mission Board (IMB)– IMB is the international missions organization of the SBC and employs over 3,500 full-time international missionaries in unreached areas around the world.
- Hope for the Future (HFF)– HFF is a missions organization led by Ovi Cornea. Ovi and his wife, Lita, along with their children serve the Lord in Malawi and Romania. One of the primary objectives of HFF is planting churches in unreached villages in Malawi. He also oversees a prolific evangelistic camp in Romania where he grew up.
